Name, maximum width and background image for a single dashboard.
On this page
These settings apply to one dashboard. Reach them from the overview screen by editing the dashboard, or from the dashboard itself.
For settings that apply to the whole app, see the Settings screen.
Name
What the dashboard is called on the overview and in any Duplicate to … list.
Must be between 3 and 50 characters.
Max width
Limits how wide the dashboard is allowed to grow, measured in horizontal grid squares — the same squares you see in edit mode.
This matters on large screens. Without a limit, a dashboard designed for a tablet stretches across a 27-inch monitor and the cards end up far apart. Setting a max width keeps the layout centred and readable.
Leave it empty for no limit.
There is also a Max width in the app-wide Settings screen. That one applies to every dashboard; this one applies to just this dashboard.
Background image
A wallpaper for this dashboard. Pick from images you have uploaded to your account.
Two things to keep in mind:
- Choose an image with enough contrast against your card colours. A busy photo behind semi-transparent cards makes text hard to read.
- The overview tile for this dashboard uses the same image, so it doubles as the dashboard's thumbnail.
If cards are hard to read over your wallpaper, lower the card opacity or set an explicit background colour in the Style tab.
