A dedicated card for heating. It shows the current temperature and gives you a dial for the target, which is easier to use accurately than a slider on a Device card.
What it shows
- The measured temperature, as reported by the device.
- The target temperature, which you set.
- A dial or +/− controls for changing the target.

Steps
The increment for a single press. 0.5 is the usual choice for a home thermostat; 1 is fine if your system is not that precise.
Setting this too fine makes the card tedious to use — reaching 21 °C from 18 °C in 0.1 steps is thirty presses.
Which devices work
Any Homey device with a target temperature capability. That is normally a thermostat or a radiator valve.
A device that only measures temperature has nothing to set, so use a Device card or a Gauge for those.
Tips
- Give it room. The dial is the point of this card; a two-by-two square or larger makes it comfortable to use.
- Confirmation. If you have underfloor heating that is slow and expensive to change, turn on Needs confirmation? in the Advanced tab.
- Locking it. PIN protection stops the thermostat being nudged by whoever walks past the wall panel. While the card is locked, the dial and the +/− buttons are disabled.
