A card that shows text. No device, no data — just a label.
What it is for
Structure. A dashboard with twenty cards and no headings is a wall of tiles; the same dashboard with Lights, Climate and Security above each group is instantly navigable.
Also useful for:
- Section headings on a long dashboard.
- A room name at the top of a room dashboard.
- Notes for other people in the house — Tap here before leaving.

The interesting settings are in the Style tab: background colour, text colour and Max font size.
Tips
- Wide and short. One square tall, several wide, sitting above the group it labels.
- Transparent works well. Setting a low opacity or matching the background makes the text look like it is printed on the wallpaper rather than sitting in a box.
- Keep the size consistent. Using the same Max font size for every Title card on a dashboard makes the whole thing look designed rather than assembled.
- Do not overdo it. Headings help when they group things. A heading above every single card is just noise.
Making it interactive
A Title card can be given an on-tap behaviour in the Advanced tab — opening a dashboard, for instance. That turns a section heading into a link.
If you do that, make it look tappable; a heading that silently does something when pressed is a surprise rather than a feature.
